How can i change the microsoft firewall settings. Like the programs you want to block and unblock?

Since you mention Microsoft Firewall, I assume you're using Windows XP SP2.



Click Start -%26gt; Control Panel -%26gt; Windows Firewall* -%26gt; Exceptions.



*This is in the ';Security Center' Icon if you're using category view



You can add/edit/remove programs and ports there.How can i change the microsoft firewall settings. Like the programs you want to block and unblock?
In XP, go to the Contraol Panel and select the security center. At the bottom, click on Firewall setting. The options you want should be in the second tab of the window that pops up.How can i change the microsoft firewall settings. Like the programs you want to block and unblock?
Go to the start menu and then the control panel and then find the firewall settings icon.
if you are running windows xp go into control panel and then into fire wall settings

security center



double click windows firewall



click the exceptions tab



check what you want to allow
simple go to control panel, windows firewall, exceptions and the items there to bypass the firewall.
