How can i open ports on my pc for vuze?

any time i try to download anything with a torrent program, the ports are always closed.i tried changing my firewall settings, changing the torrent client but the problem still persists.it seems whatever i do i cannot open them.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How can i open ports on my pc for vuze?
You will need to port forward them on your router.



Or if you can change the port number on vuze to a number between 50,000 and 65,000
