Windows firewall?? how do i change the settings to alow msn?

got a new laptop todayy

inernet is working fine

but windows live messenger is not downloading

could this be the firewall and if itiss how do i change itt?

Click the Start menu, and open Control Panel. Put Control Panel into classic view, and then double click the Windows Firewall icon. Click the exceptions tab on the dialog box which appears. Scroll through the list and put a tick in the name of your browser, for example, click the empty box next to Internet Explorer, or whatever other browser you are using like Firefox or Chrome etc. Then try downloading again.

anti virus and anti spy if you don't have them.Go to File Hippo and put Comodo firewall on AVG anti spy and Avira anti virus.All free.
haha, i have the same problem. only my msn is downloading fine (WLM 2009) but, it wont let me download the beta/plus version :@ it says its successful download... but, it's not :@!!!
