How do I change the firewall settings on windows XP?

I am having difficulty using Explorer to FTP into one of my websites.How do I change the firewall settings on windows XP?
In the task bar you have startup items. (RIght hand side next to the clock)



RIght click on the network icon (Usually a little blue computer screen or two together) and select ';Change windows firewall settings';



It's really that simple.How do I change the firewall settings on windows XP?
change it in the security options in the control panel
Just go to the control panel and look for the Icon firewall



Double click the Icon and make the changes required.
